Test your internet connection speed
You all people connected to internet has one or another plan subscribed for your internet connection. Your carrier promises you dedicated bandwidth of X Kbps but if you are experiencing some problem with your speed, you can verify that.
Prerequisites:
You should be able to run java applet in you browser.
1. Check internet speed using Airtel broadband website: Go to http://speed.airtelbroadband.in/. This page uses a Java applet for testing the internet connection and if your connection is slow, this page will take some tom load the applet.
Click the button to start the speed test. It will take some time for figure out your download and upload speed.
2. Advanced statistics about your internet connection: Visit following link. This is again a Java applet which will give your lot more information than option 1. You can check about VOIP statistics of your connection along with more detailed connection statistics.
