www.mapmyindia.com is a website which provides interactive maps for India. Its interface is same as Google Maps but it shows maps only for India. You can use this website for getting map information of places and also get direction for reaching a place you are unaware of.
Above all you can use this website to learn about India and its places. If you are a travel enthusiast, you can get various type of information from this website.
I came to know about this while searching a local place near Delhi and found it really useful for various Road trips I did after that.
Directions: I think very few websites are there for getting direction information for India and that makes www.mapmyindia.com very special and useful for us. You can get direction information by just typing your source and destination and you will be shown a path marked from source to destination. You can also add your more places in case you want to go through some specific place to your destination. Just add via in your direction search.
Maps: You can get map of places on this website, which is more useful for bigger cities because for small cities and towns comparatively less information is available. Maps can be useful for getting information of local places and nearby places. Maps are really useful in case you want to understand a city layout and know about connecting roads.
Local Information: Local information is a information of places and its local facilities which can be made very useful if shown on maps. You can search local information of a place or on current map selection.
