Facebook’s Architecture
facebook (www.facebook.com) needs no introduction. Here is a presentation done by Aditya Agarwal, Director of Engineering at Facebook about Facebook architecture and the learning they had during development of Facebook.
He is presenting the advantages and disadvantages of its major components: LAMP (PHP, MySQL), Memcache, Thrift, Scribe. I think a pretty useful presentation for web community about scaling, design, custom handling etc.
